Ponty Chadha, brother had no property dispute: relatives

In a new twist in the killings of Ponty Chadha and his brother Hardeep Chadha in a bloody gun battle, their relatives on Monday rejected the police claim of property dispute between the two triggering the tragedy.

"There was no property dispute between them at all. Had there been,
we would have meditated between them and resolved," said Hardeep Chadha's father-in-law Harvinder Singh Sarna.
Harvinder is the younger brother of Paramjeet Singh Sarna, who is president of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC).
"They both had separate businesses and Hardeep had a distillery plant and paper mill in Hargobindpur in Punjab," Harvinder Singh said.
Paramjeet Singh Sarna also supported the version of his younger brother.
"There was no property dispute between them," he said.
When asked about the feud, he said: "I have no idea."
The warring brothers were killed Saturday in a gun-battle which, police said, was the result of property dispute between them.
