Kim Kardashian hasn't been far from the ski slopes this winter. First, she hit up Park City, Utah with her sisters; then, she joined hubby Kanye West in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. But if this sporty type of outing seems like a new thing for the reality star, it's not — it's just that her passion for skiing had been on pause for a while.
When she was growing up, Kardashian regularly hit the slopes with her late father, Robert Kardashian. In a post on her website, the KKW Beauty mogul shared: "My parents put me in ski school when I was three. My siblings and I all learned to ski at a really young age."
That explains it! When she took to Instagram to share a clip, embedded below, of herself expertly navigating a mountain earlier this week, we couldn't help but notice: Kardashian has some major ski game.
Of her childhood snow sessions, Kardashian said: “I'm grateful that they put us in those lessons now, even though I would always complain about dressing in all the layers. Snow, blizzard or sunshine, we had to be on the slopes — and now I’m so glad we have those memories. After my dad died, I didn’t ski for over a decade. We usually skied together on Thanksgiving, which was his holiday to take us."
But now that some time has passed, Kardashian is ready to hit the slopes again with her own family.
"North has already had two years of ski lessons and I can’t wait to start Saint next year,” she shared of her two older children. "It's such a fun activity to do together as a family." Maybe baby Chicago will start her own lessons in a couple of years!
