Yesterday Oppo has launched the Oppo F7, and it competes directly with the recently launched Vivo V9. Both the smartphones not only have an identical price, but they also have similar specifications and looks. Confused between the two devices? Here is a brief comparison.
Vivo V9 vs Oppo F7: Price in India, Sale Date, Pre-order
The Vivo V9 was launched in India on 23rd March 2018 with a price tag of Rs. 22,990 for the 64GB storage variant. The Oppo F7 has been launched in India yesterday with a price tag of Rs. 21,999 for the 64GB storage variant, and Rs. 26,999 for the 128GB storage variant.
The Oppo F7 First Sale is on 2nd April as 24 hours Flash Sale at Flipkart and the offline sale will be held at authorised Oppo outlets across the country. The 64GB storage variant of Oppo F7 will go on sale on April 9 via online and offline stores, while the 128GB storage variant will be available exclusively through select Oppo stores. The Vivo V9 will go on sale on 2nd April. However, users can currently pre-order the Vivo V9 on Amazon.in, Flipkart.
Vivo V9 vs Oppo F7: Launch offers
Vivo is also offering 5% cashback on the purchase of the V9 provided that the users make the payment through HDFC or Axis Bank Buzz credit or debit cards. Also, similar to the Oppo’s offer, Vivo is providing free one-time screen replacement. The Vivo V9 can be purchased with No Cost EMI. All the mentioned offers on the Vivo V9 are valid till 2nd April 2018.
Oppo is offering 5% cashback on the purchase of F7 provided that the users make the payment through ICICI credit or debit card. Apart from the 5% discount, the company is also offering free one-time screen replacement within one year from the date of purchase. Lastly, the Oppo F7 comes with 120GB free data from Jio along with Rs. 1,200 cashback in the form of Jio vouchers. There is still no information till when these offers are valid.
Vivo V9 vs Oppo F7: Display
The Vivo V9 has a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution. Similar to the Oppo F7, the Vivo V9 also has a bezel-less display with a notch at the top. Although the Vivo V9 has Corning Gorilla Glass, the version of the glass isn’t known yet.

The Vivo V9 has a 16MP + 5MP dual-camera at the back with phase-detection autofocus and dual-tone dual-LED flash. The Vivo V9 can also record 4K videos, which gives the device a huge leap over the Oppo F7 in the camera department.

The Vivo V9 has Snapdragon 626 SoC mated to 4GB of RAM, and the device comes with only 64GB storage variant. The Vivo V9 comes with Android 8.1 Oreo OS along with FunTouch OS 4.0 customisation.
The Oppo F7 packs the latest chipset from MediaTek, the Helio P60. The Helio P60 has tons of processing power, thanks to four Cortex-A73 cores, but the chipset lacks graphics power. The 64GB storage variant of the Oppo F7 has 4GB of RAM, and the 128GB storage variant of the Oppo F7 has 6GB of RAM. The device comes pre-loaded with Android 8.0 Oreo OS topped with ColorOS 5.0 customisation.
Vivo V9 vs Oppo F7: Verdict
The Oppo F7 and the Vivo V9 have a very close performance in almost every criteria, but the Vivo V9 takes the crown with its dual-camera setup, 4K video recording capability, and dual-band Wi-Fi ac, which the Oppo F7 misses out on. Also, the Vivo V9 is slightly cheaper than the Oppo F7, which makes for one more reason to buy it
